Andreas Merx

Management consultant, political scientist and trainer for diversity and cross-cultural competence. He has been active in the field of equal treatment (anti-discrimination), diversity, integration, interculturalism and migration for more than 10 years.

He has worked for the German Federal Parliament and the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as an academic specialist adviser on the German Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz, AGG), diversity management, diversity politics, integration, the Immigration Act and right-wing extremism.

His other work includes management consulting, political counselling and academic services, e.g. for German federal ministries, federal authorities, public agencies, political-party research foundations, political parties, NGOs, associations and companies. These include the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, the Green party Heinrich Böll research foundation and the consulting firm Roland Berger. Training activities include work done for the campaign "Opportunity in Diversity" ("Vielfalt als Chance") and for the Social Democrats' Friedrich Ebert research foundation.

Andreas has published extensively on diversity management, diversity politics, positive action, equal treatment practices, the German Equal Treatment Act, integration and immigration policy as well as cross-cultural topics.
